What Do You See?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
— Heb. 11:1
Hey there! Ever stopped for a moment and thought about what you truly see in your future? What do you picture for yourself? Maybe it's a bit blurry. With all the noise and chaos around us, it's easy to get bogged down by the present moment and let fears overshadow our dreams.
Ever heard this one before? "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb. 11:1) What does that even mean? Basically, faith is like having a sneak peek into an epic movie of your future – even if you can't physically see it just yet. Cool, huh?
Picture this: Every day, instead of being stressed out by what's right in front of you, you’re living in the excitement of what's to come. Like seeing yourself nailing that test, making the team, or even mending a broken relationship. You're imagining the best-case scenario because, hey, "I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." (Ps. 27:13)
So, what's the secret? How did legends like Moses handle their fears? "By faith (Moses) forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible." (Heb. 11:27) It's all about perspective. When we focus on the BIG picture and trust in the plans that God has for us, all those little worries start to fade. Remember, it's not about what's happening right now, but what we choose to see in the future. So, what do you see?
