Just Do It!

We've all heard stories of God’s miraculous provisions in the Bible. But sometimes, we might miss the supernatural because we are only looking for the spectacular. God often gives us simple instructions that seem too ordinary or illogical, so we dismiss them. However, when God tells you to do something, just do it! By obeying, you allow God to add His supernatural touch to your natural actions.

Remember the wedding at Cana? Jesus told the servants to fill the waterpots with water and then serve it to the master of the feast (John 2:7-8). It seemed like an ordinary task, but when they obeyed, the water became the best wine.

Or think about when Jesus used Peter’s boat to teach the crowd. Afterward, He told Peter to cast his nets into the deep water for a catch (Luke 5:4-6). Peter, despite his doubts, obeyed. They caught so many fish that their nets began to break, and they needed another boat to help with the haul.

Another instance is when Jesus addressed the issue of paying taxes. He told Peter to catch a fish, and the first fish Peter caught had a coin in its mouth to pay their taxes (Matthew 17:27).
In 2 Kings 4, a widow in debt was asked by Elisha what she had at home. She replied, “Nothing but a jar of oil.” Elisha instructed her to gather as many empty vessels as she could. When she obeyed, the oil kept flowing until all the vessels were full, providing enough to pay off her debts and sustain her family.

Even when Jesus fed the 5000, He took the small amount of food they had, gave thanks, and told the disciples to distribute it. Miraculously, everyone ate their fill, and there were twelve baskets of leftovers (Matthew 14:17-20).

God’s instructions may seem simple or even foolish at times, but obedience leads to miraculous results. So, whatever He says to you, just do it!
