Our daughter Arlene, who we call Tweety, woke up completely well this morning. Praise the Lord.
Yesterday we were at the Unmasked youth retreat. Prem and I had just finished ministering about our identity in Christ and the authority we have to claim His promises, that we are already healed in the spirit. And then, before we could even say goodbye to everyone, I had to tell them I was taking my daughter to the hospital.
That hurt. As a mother, it hurt deep inside.
Tweety had been sitting through the meetings. She couldn't walk around or join in the way she wanted to. Our son Asher was in the middle of every activity, and she just sat there, weak, watching. She had been like that for about a week.
So I prayed quietly through the whole thing. I kept declaring what I know is true, that Tweety is already healed in the spirit, that this weakness is only for a moment, that she will come through this too.
That night she had some tests done. We came home, she ate dinner, and she went to bed still weak.
This morning at 9:30 I went in to wake her gently for breakfast. She came out freshened up and dressed and said, "Mummy, give me food, I will eat." I hadn't heard her say that in almost a week.
The word we spoke over her came alive in her body. This is the Lord's doing.
Prem and I are sharing this because it happened while we were ministering His word and the power we carry to those young people. This is what was going on in our family at the same time.
