After finishing college, I spent several years looking for work. I went to interviews, sent out applications, and waited. Nothing came through. Month after month, the silence wore me down. I started questioning my future and, at some point, quietly wondering whether God had forgotten about me.
Then one Sunday, Pastor Premasis preached on who we are in Christ.
He shared that we are carefully and intentionally made by God, that through Jesus we have become new creations, and that we are His beloved children. One verse stayed with me: "I will never leave you nor forsake you." As he unpacked the finished work of the cross, something became clear to me. Jesus had already provided what I needed. My job was not to keep striving in fear. It was to believe and receive.
That single message changed how I saw myself. I had spent years thinking of myself as someone falling behind. After that Sunday, I began to see myself as someone God actually loved and had not overlooked. I started reading the daily devotionals from Pastor Premasis regularly. They helped me identify and let go of unbelief I had been holding onto without realizing it. I prayed differently after that — not with desperation, but with a quiet confidence that God had already prepared something.
In time, an offer came from a multinational company. It was more than I had allowed myself to hope for during those long years of waiting.
Looking back, God was working the entire time. I just could not see it then.
I give all the glory to God, and I am grateful to Pastor Premasis for a message that changed not just my circumstances but the way I think.
