Giving Is Receiving
What is seen was not made out of things that are visible.
— Heb. 11:3
As believers in Christ, we have an opportunity to sow seeds that will bring blessings to others, to worship God, and help expand His kingdom. This is a clear teaching in the Bible that is both natural and spiritual realms. The spiritual law is what pushes the natural law to be possible. "What is seen was not made out of things that are visible." (Heb. 11:3)
By sowing seeds, we are participating in God's plan of increase. It's important to remember that sowing should be done with principles like hard work, honesty, patience, love, and wisdom.
God is a giver, and we are made in His image. He gave us His son, Jesus, so we may become part of His family. The seed that God sowed was Jesus, and we are the harvest. In the Bible, we see examples of how sowing seeds can open doors to blessings. Elijah asked for food and water from a widow, and her offering was the seed that opened the door to three years of food for her and her son. Jesus received the offering of bread and fish and multiplied it to feed 5,000.
God rewards those who give cheerfully and with a generous heart. Giving is not a "get rich quick" scheme but a part of a transformed life that understands how the Kingdom of God works. As we seek God's Kingdom first, He promises to add all other things. (Mt. 6:33) The increase is a part of God's plan for His Kingdom, and it's also the nature of the gospel.
So let us continue to sow seeds and trust that God will bring an abundance of blessings in return. Let us give cheerfully and generously and allow God to use our seeds to expand His Kingdom on earth.
PRAYER
Father, I thank You that as I sow in faith, I reap in abundance. I give with a cheerful heart, knowing that Your Kingdom operates on the law of increase. Use my seed to bless others and expand Your glory. Amen.
