The Power Of Faith In Jesus

Have you ever heard of the phrase "name it, claim it"? As a Christian, this might sound unfamiliar or even controversial, but did you know that this doctrine has a Biblical foundation? In fact, it is a tremendous reality of the New Covenant that we, as born again believers, have participated in.

So, what does "name it, claim it" mean? It simply means that everything Jesus has named in the New Covenant is ours to claim or receive by faith. This starts with salvation. Jesus has named justification by faith, and believers have claimed it. If we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths, we are saved (Romans 10:9).

But the power of faith in Jesus doesn't stop at salvation. We are also free to claim healing, protection, peace, joy, provision, victory, and any other reality of redemption that God has named in His Word. However, we cannot just 'name' things and then claim them without God's revelation and grace. We must have a deep understanding of our identity, purpose, calling, and giftings. Our faith can only claim that which God has provided.

When we fully comprehend the depth and breadth of our covenant with God and the abundance of grace that is available to us, we are free to claim everything that is named in that covenant. As it says in 2 Corinthians 1:20, "For all the promises of God in Him are 'Yes,' and in Him 'Amen,' to the glory of God through us."

So, let us not shy away from the power of faith in Jesus. Let us confidently name what God has already named in His Word and claim it by faith. Remember, everything that God has promised us is available to us through our faith in Jesus Christ.
