Walking In God’s Greatest Commandments

Have you ever wondered what the greatest commandments are? Jesus answered this question, stating that all the commandments and laws are based on just two principles. The first is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. And the second is to love your neighbour as yourself. These commandments encompass the essence of a fulfilling life.

To truly experience healing, deliverance, and prosperity, we must receive God's love and walk in that love towards others. It's not enough to claim love for God while harbouring hate or resentment towards our brothers and sisters. If we don't love others we can see, how can we claim to love God whom we haven't seen?

As mentioned in James 2:8, the Royal Law emphasizes the importance of loving our neighbour as ourselves. It is the highest law and should be the focus of our lives. Yet, envy and strife often hinder our relationships. Envy carries malice and bitterness, while strife expresses bitterness and anger. The result is confusion and every evil work.

One of the main sources of problems in relationships is envy and strife. Envy is not just jealousy; it carries malice and intends to harm or bring others down. Strife is the expression of that bitterness and anger. James 3:16 warns that where envy and strife exist, confusion and every evil work abound. It is crucial to recognize that Satan is the author of confusion, and when we allow envy and strife to rule our relationships, we open the door for his evil works.

Let us reflect on our own lives and relationships. May we strive to walk in love, embracing the transformative power of God's love in our interactions with others.
