Embracing God's Gift Of Righteousness

Have you ever found yourself trying super hard to be good and hoping that God would be proud of you Perhaps you've been told that just believing in Jesus makes you righteous in God's eyes, but then you need to keep working at it to stay in His good books. Sounds tiring, right? And confusing!

Well, let's clear that up! Did Apostle Paul teach us to earn our righteousness? Nah! Paul said that righteousness isn't something we earn or achieve on our own. You're probably wondering, "So, if it's not by our good works, how do we get it?" The answer? Through Jesus! Romans 10:3 tells us that many are confused, trying to make themselves righteous. But in reality, God's righteousness is a gift. Imagine someone giving you an iPhone but then saying you've got to pay them back in small amounts. That's not really a gift, right? The same goes for God's righteousness – it's a gift, no strings attached!

But hold up, "What about all the mistakes I've made?" you might ask. Here's the incredible news: *because of what Jesus did on the cross, ALL your mistakes, whether they're from yesterday, today, or tomorrow, are wiped clean*. Sounds too good to be true? Check out Philippians 3:9. Our righteousness comes from believing in Jesus, not by being the 'best' version of ourselves.

Every time God looks at you, He sees someone draped in the perfect righteousness of Jesus.
