Jesus Never Turned Anyone Away For Healing
I am the Lord, your healer.
— Exodus 15:26
Most believers have no problem believing God can heal. The question that quietly bothers them is whether He will heal them specifically. That is a different question, and it changes how you pray, how long you stay in faith, and whether you give up before the answer comes.
In Exodus 15:26 God says, "I am the Lord, your healer." That is a name He gave Himself. Not a maybe. And in Matthew 8:2-3, when a leper came and said "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean," Jesus answered without hesitation: "I am willing; be cleansed." All through the Gospels, Jesus healed every person who came to Him. Not once did He turn someone away and say the timing was not right.
Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus is the exact image of God. So when you watch Jesus heal the sick, the blind, the leper, you are watching God's heart on display. His desire for you has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
1 Peter 2:24 says, "By His stripes you were healed." Past tense. Healing was purchased at the cross, not something Jesus is still considering. You are not asking God to do something new. You are receiving what Jesus already paid for.
God works through faith and He works through doctors. Both are His. Keep your appointments. Take your medication. And bring your faith alongside it, knowing that the same God who healed everyone who came to Jesus is the God who is with you in that hospital room right now.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that healing is not something You are still deciding. Jesus settled it at the cross. I receive that by faith today. Holy Spirit, let the life of God work in my body right now. I trust You and I trust the doctors You have placed in my life. Amen
Amen
