Seek God's Plan
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
— Proverbs 3:5-6
Have you ever wondered if you are doing what God wants you to do? Have you ever asked God what His plan is for your life? Mary, the mother of Jesus, asked the angel how she was going to have a baby when she had never been with a man. She didn't doubt God, but she wanted to know how it was going to happen. She sought God's plan for her life.
When Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, asked the same question, he was filled with doubt. He didn't believe that God could do what He said He would do. Mary's faith led her to seek God's plan, but Zacharias' unbelief hindered him from receiving God's blessing. Zacharias' unbelief caused the angel to tell him that he would be unable to speak until the prophecy was fulfilled (Luke 1:18-20).
Knowing God's will is not enough. We must seek God's plan to accomplish His will in our lives. Abraham knew that God wanted him to have a son, but he and Sarah came up with their own plan that caused them and the world much grief. If Abraham had sought God's plan, he would have avoided many problems. Gen. 16:1-6
We need to seek God's plan, even if we know His will. God's plan may not be what we expect, but it will always be the best for us. God has a plan for each one of us, and it's up to us to seek it.
Friends, Seek God's plan for your life, and trust that He will guide you on the right path.
