God Is Not Behind Your Pain

When life goes sideways, the question shows up fast. Did God do this? Somebody has probably told you He allowed it to teach you something.

Real talk, that idea does not survive one honest look at Scripture. James 1:17 says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Good things come down from Him, and He does not have off days. He is not generous on Monday and cruel by Friday.

God is in the business of giving, and He proved it at the highest possible cost. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." He did not hold His Son back to make a point with your life. He handed Him over to keep you.

Which is why Romans 8:31 lands the way it does. "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Paul asked it as a question because he knew nobody had an answer. God settled which side He is on a long time ago.

So when the job falls through, or the report comes back bad, or the person you trusted walks out, stop scanning your life for what God is punishing you for. He is not the source of it. Feed on what He actually said about His heart toward you and let the Holy Spirit make it real in you instead of true on paper. That is the whole vibe shift, you stop bracing against God and start leaning on Him.

He gave you His Son. He is not working against you now with the small stuff.
