The True Nature Of God
But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
— Ephesians 2:4-5
During life's storms, it's easy to lose sight of the true character of God. Misunderstandings and misconceptions can paint a picture of God that's far from accurate. But let's set the record straight: God is not the source of our problems. He's not behind our suffering, nor does He take pleasure in our pain. The truth is much more comforting and empowering.
Firstly, understand this: God is not your enemy. He's the ultimate source of love, support, and guidance in your life. When things go wrong, it's not because He's directing your downfall. The narrative that God is testing us through hardship misrepresents His true nature. So, why do we face challenges? It's part of the complex weave of life in a fallen world, but even in these moments, God is our refuge, not the cause of our distress.
God's love for us is shown in the greatest way possible. He sent Jesus to die for us, not as a condemnation, but as a liberation. Through Jesus, we have access to everything that belongs to God - His power, authority, Spirit, promises, and much more. This divine inheritance includes armor for spiritual battles, keys to His Kingdom, spiritual gifts, and His very nature.
Imagine living fully aware of your access to God's power, authority, and love. What would change? Fear, doubt, and defeat would no longer dominate. Instead, you'd walk in confidence, peace, and purpose, knowing you're loved, equipped, and empowered by God.
So, let's challenge ourselves: Are we ready to shed the misconceptions and embrace the fullness of what God offers? It's time to renew our minds, dive deep into His promises, and start living in the abundant life He has prepared for us. Let this be the moment we truly start living, not as victims of circumstances, but as victors through Christ.
PRAYER
Father, I thank You for Your love and grace that make me alive in Christ. I reject every lie about You and walk in the truth of Your goodness. I live as a victor, not a victim, empowered by Your Spirit! Amen.
Amen
