Who Is Crossing Your Path?

Hey there, young believer! Have you ever wondered who your neighbor really is? This question may seem simple, but it holds profound wisdom that Satan can twist to deceive us in more ways than one. Let's delve into the heart of this matter.

Our Lord Jesus told a story of a wounded man who needed help. As he lay on the roadside, three individuals crossed his path: a priest, a Levite, and a Samaritan. Although the priest and Levite were his fellow countrymen, they didn't stop to lend a hand. On the other hand, the Samaritan, who belonged to a different nationality and was despised by religious Jews, showed true compassion. “Jesus used this parable to define a neighbor not by race, religion, or familiarity but as any fellow human being who crosses our path and needs our help.”

You might be thinking, "How can I possibly help everyone in need?" And you're right, we can't meet every need in the world. Jesus didn't expect that from us. Instead, He wants us to seize the opportunities that come our way. We may not be able to help everyone, but that's no excuse not to help anyone.

You might also be worried that you're not doing enough. But remember, it's not about comparison or guilt. The Samaritan did what he could, and he went above and beyond. It's about doing what you can with a loving heart. Proverbs 3:27 reminds us, "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your power to act."

So, keep your eyes open, dear one. God places people in our paths for a reason. Ask yourself, "Who crosses my path today?" It could be a friend, a classmate, a family member, or even a stranger. Be open to God's leading, and don't let prejudice or fear stop you from showing Christ-like love.
