Fully Paid, Fully Loved
He made us accepted in the Beloved.
— Ephesians 1:6
Ever been caught up in that storm of self-doubt? "Is God really satisfied with me?" Let’s tackle that, shall we?
Remember that catchy tune from back in the day? "Is He satisfied, is He satisfied, is He satisfied with me?" Yeah, that one! As a teenager, whenever I'd sing along, I'd always end up feeling...unsatisfactory. But hang on, was the question ever about OUR satisfaction?
Boom! There it is! It’s not about whether we've done enough or if we've passed some imaginary test. The real question? "Is God satisfied with what Jesus did for us on the cross?" And guess what, buddy? He is! Completely! Jesus shouted out, "It is finished!" (John 19:30). That was the mic-drop moment! He paid the FULL price, not missing a cent!
But hold on, it gets even excitement! You might wonder if you're doing enough. Here's the twist: God's looking at you through Jesus-tinted glasses! So, when God sees Jesus, perfect and blameless, He sees YOU that way too! Why? Because Jesus was that bridge connecting us back to God’s heart.
So next time someone tries to play with your head, telling you that you ain't good enough or that you gotta do more for God to love you, just tell them, "Nah, Jesus got me covered!" The cross? That's your anchor. Hold onto it. Because in Jesus, God is totally, utterly, and forever satisfied with you!
PRAYER
Lord, thank You that through Jesus I am fully accepted and fully loved. Help me rest in Your finished work and live with unshakable confidence.
Amen
