God Is The Giver, Not The Taker
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
— 2 Peter 1:2-4
Hey there, have you ever felt like you're wrestling with God? Maybe it feels like He's causing your struggles, allowing bad things to happen, or even seeming against you. Well, I have some good news: God is not your enemy.
Sure, life can get tough. We face struggles, sickness, loss, and more. We wonder, "If God is so good, why does He let bad things happen? Is He trying to teach me something?" I can tell you this much; God doesn't put hardships in our life to teach us lessons. Do you know why? 1 John 4:16 says, "God is love." He doesn't wish suffering upon us.
Do you ever feel like God's stealing from you? Making you sick? Causing your pain? Let me clarify something: God isn't the author of your miseries. James 1:17 reminds us that "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." God is a giver of good gifts, not a taker of joy.
God doesn't hate you. He loves you more than you can comprehend. Remember John 3:16? "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God's love is so profound that He gave His only Son for us.
He has equipped you with everything you need for a victorious life. 2 Peter 1:2-4 says, "Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord...Through these, he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires." Don't neglect His Grace!
So, don't get it twisted. God is not your problem; He is your solution. He is not your enemy; He is your greatest ally. Remember this truth, lean into His love, and walk in His Grace today.
