Anchored In God’s Unfailing Love
Because he loves me, says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
— Psalm 91:14
Hey there! Have you ever wondered what qualifies you for God’s protection? It’s a valid question Sometimes it can feel like we have to navigate through obstacles to earn God’s blessings. You might have heard some teachings suggesting that we must love God perfectly to receive His protection. But is that really the case?
Here’s the thing: relying on our own efforts to earn God’s favor is like building a house on shaky ground. No matter how hard we try, we’ll always fall short. But guess what? God knew that all along. That’s why He sent Jesus. It’s not about us loving God perfectly; it’s about God loving us perfectly, despite our imperfections.
Imagine this: God SO loved the world that He sent His Son to save us. Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of the law, so even when our love for Him wavers, He still protects us. Isn’t that amazing? We’re under a new covenant of grace where God’s love for us is the anchor of our faith.
Now, you might wonder, does our love for God matter at all? Absolutely! But here’s the kicker: our love for Him may waver, but His love for us never will. His love is steadfast, unwavering, and unceasing. We can rely on His unconditional, unchanging, and irrevocable love, no matter what.
So, let’s rest in God’s love today. Let’s anchor our hearts in the truth that His love is more than enough to cover our shortcomings and protect us from harm. After all, it’s His love that sets us free and keeps us safe.
PRAYER
Father, thank You for loving me perfectly even when I fall short. I anchor my heart in Your unfailing love, trusting that Your grace protects and sustains me.
Amen
