The Power Of Words
Words can give life or take it away. So choose your words wisely.
— Proverbs 18:21
Have you ever thought about how powerful your words are? Jesus knew this when he talked to a fig tree. Even though the tree didn't say anything, its leaves showed that it had fruits, but it didn't. Jesus told the tree to wither, and it died. If Jesus could do this to a tree, imagine how much power your words have in your life.
Think about the problems you're facing now. Sometimes, it might feel like these problems are shouting at you, telling you that you're a failure or that your prayers aren't working. But just like Jesus, you can talk to these problems. The Bible tells us that if you say to a mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and you truly believe it, it will happen. Have you talked to your problems like this?
Why are words so important? Because everything in the world listens to words. God created the world with his words (Hebrews 11:3), and our words are also powerful. When we say good things, we show our faith, and God's power helps us. Jesus defeated the bad guys when he talked to them with God's words (Luke 4:4). You can do the same.
So, what are you saying today? Say good things about yourself and your life. Believe in God's promises, and watch how things start to change. Talk to your problems with confidence, because if you believe, you'll get what you ask for in prayer (Matthew 21:22 NIV).
PRAYER
Lord, help me to use my words with faith and wisdom. Let every word I speak bring life, healing, and blessing to myself and those around me.
