Ageing With Divine Strength
Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever.
— Deuteronomy 34:7
Hey there, have you ever heard someone say, “Oh, I’m just getting old. That’s why I feel this way”? It's like they've accepted that as they age, they have to deal with a bunch of problems. But here's a surprise: did you know the Bible says something totally different? Yep, Deuteronomy 34:7 tells us about Moses. This man was 120 years old, and guess what? He was still sharp-eyed and strong! So, what’s going on?
You might wonder, "Why do people feel they need to age like the world says?" The world loves to remind us about all the stuff that supposedly comes with getting older – blurry vision, feeling tired, forgetting things. But why should we believe that when the Bible paints a different picture? Moses is a prime example. If you're a believer, then remember this: you're not bound by the world's standards. Jesus said we're not of this world (John 17:16). So, why live by its rules?
But how do we escape this trap? First, let's change our mindset. Promise yourself this: “I will not let the world dictate how I age.” If you ever feel something that doesn’t align with God’s promise, challenge it! Just because everyone else or even science says something is "bound to happen" as you age, do you have to accept it? No way! When God’s on your side, the only thing inevitable is divine health and strength, as long as we keep our faith in Him.
So, the next time someone talks about the woes of aging, remember Moses. Remember that with God, you can age with grace, strength, and clarity. After all, if God could do it for Moses, why not for you? Keep your eyes on Him, trust in His word, and watch the miracles unfold. Don’t just age, age God’s way!
PRAYER
