Faith Comes Through Knowledge
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
— Romans 10:17
Have you ever struggled to have faith in God? Maybe you feel like you don't have enough faith or don't understand how to live a life of faith. The truth is faith comes through knowledge of God and His Word. The more you know about God and what He has done for you, the easier it will be to trust Him and live a life of faith.
The Bible says that all things that pertain to life and godliness are given to us through the knowledge of God (2 Peter 1:3). This means that if you want to live a life that pleases God, you need to know Him and His Word. Without knowledge of God, it is impossible to have true faith (Hebrews 11:6).
Many people struggle with faith because they have let the knowledge of the world choke out the Word of God in their lives. The Bible says that fear comes through carnal know ledge, while faith and all things that pertain to life come through godly knowledge (2 Peter 1:3).
If you want to have faith, you need to renew your mind with the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Your mind is like a computer; it simply acts upon the knowledge that is put into it. If all you have is carnal knowledge, then all you can be is carnal.
So, how do you get knowledge of God? The Bible says that faith comes from hearing the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). You can start by reading the Bible regularly, listening to sermons, and spending time in prayer. Ask God to give you wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:17).
Remember, you are not incapable of living a life of faith. If you have been born again, you have already been given faith as a part of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). But you need to know how faith works and what the laws of faith are. This knowledge is hidden for you, not from you, in the Word of God.
Pray Ephesians 1:15-23 with me, and believe that you will receive the knowledge of God. Watch faith begin to be produced in your life. Keep seeking after God and filling your mind with His Word, and your faith will grow stronger and stronger.
PRAYER
Father, thank You for giving me the gift of faith. Open the eyes of my heart to know You more through Your Word, and let my faith grow strong through revelation knowledge.
Amen
