Faith In Jesus Is Our True Salvation

Have you ever wondered why some people seem so desperate to please God but still feel rejected, while others who haven’t sought Him find peace and righteousness? The answer lies in faith and its true object. Jesus taught more than He preached, emphasizing that understanding and faith are crucial.

Why does it seem like those who try the hardest often miss the mark? The Jews were zealous, thinking they could earn God’s favor through their own righteousness. They believed their acts could make them holy enough. Meanwhile, the Gentiles, who had no such righteousness, accepted the Gospel eagerly. They recognized the gift of salvation Jesus offered, knowing they couldn’t rely on their deeds.

Isn’t it the same today? Many people in churches are striving to live holy lives, beating off their good deeds like church attendance and charity. But if they stood before God and were asked why they deserve salvation, they’d list their works. The truth is, our actions, no matter how good, fall short of God’s perfect standard. The only right answer to that question is, “My only claim to salvation is faith in Jesus as my Savior.” As Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Let Jesus be the focus of your faith today. Trust Him alone for your salvation. He is all you need, and His teachings are the foundation for becoming His disciple. Embrace His grace and let go of trying to earn what He freely gives.
