No Condemnation Is What Actually Changes People

They dragged her into the middle of a crowd. Everyone there knew what she had done, and by the rules of the day they were not wrong about the penalty.

One by one the accusers left. Then John 8:10 and 11 say, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

Look at the order. He does not say clean yourself up and then I will not condemn you. The not condemning comes first. Go and sin no more comes after, to a woman who has just been handed her life back.

And He was the one person there entitled to throw something. He had no sin to disqualify Him. He still would not do it.

This is not God saying it does not matter what we do. It is Him showing what actually breaks a person out of something. Shame keeps people stuck in the exact thing they hate. Knowing you are not condemned is what gives you the ground to stand up on, and the Holy Spirit is the one who does the changing from there.

Whatever you are carrying today, He is not standing there with a stone. He never was.
