Your Words Carry More Than You Think
Jesus called in a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out!'"
— John 11:43
Most of what we say we never think about. Replies on autopilot, captions, the throwaway comment about ourselves that we would never say to a friend.
Stand at the tomb for a second. John 11:43 says Jesus "cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth." Three words at a dead man, and the dead man walked out. That was not volume. It was faith with authority behind it.
Now here is what changes it for you. Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." The same Spirit who was in Jesus when He said that is in you right now. Not a weaker edition of Him.
Which is why Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Your words are not just sound leaving your face. They put something into a room, and into you.
This is not about forcing yourself to be positive. It is about noticing what you keep saying over your own body, your family, the friend everybody has given up on. You are not generating power by talking, the Holy Spirit already put it in you. You are just deciding what it gets aimed at today.
Someone in your day is going to hear something from you that sticks. It might as well be life.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that You put Your Spirit in me and gave my words weight. I am not just making noise, I am carrying Your life. Holy Spirit, guard what comes out of my mouth today and fill it with faith. Give me one person to speak life over. I believe what You have already put in me. Amen
Amen
