God Put Healing Power In Your Hands
They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
— Mark 16:18
Praying for someone else's healing feels strange when you are still waiting on your own. There is a quiet voice that says get your own body sorted first, then you can go pray for somebody.
Mark 16:17-18 says, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Read who qualifies. Them that believe. Not them who feel qualified, not them who already got their own breakthrough.
Here is the thing. The power was never sitting in your hands. It is in the One living in you, and your hands are just the place it comes out. Mark 16:20 says, "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." The Lord working with them. They showed up, He did the work.
In real life this looks pretty ordinary. It is your friend in the hostel with a fever who mentions it in passing, and instead of typing praying for you and scrolling on, you put a hand on their shoulder and actually pray. It is your mother's knee that has been hurting for months. It is the guy at work with the back thing everyone has stopped taking seriously. You do not need a stage or a title for any of that.
You are not working anything up. The Holy Spirit is already in you, and He does not wait until you feel spiritual enough that morning. Whether the person gets up healed on the spot or improves over the next few weeks, your part is to reach out and pray. God carries the result.
Your own miracle was never the prerequisite. God put this in your hands the day you believed.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that You already put Your healing power in me and did not make me earn it. I am not the source of this, You are, and my hands are just where it shows up. Holy Spirit, point me to one person today who needs prayer and give me the nerve to actually stop and pray for them. I am not waiting until my own situation is fixed first. I receive this by faith in what Jesus already finished. Amen
Amen
