Doubt Is The Problem Not Faith Size

You prayed, you believed, and nothing moved. So you land on the obvious conclusion, that you must not have enough faith.

Jesus said the opposite. Matthew 17:20 says, "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." A mustard seed is already enough. He was not asking for more faith, He was pointing at the unbelief sitting right next to it.

The disciples had cast out demons before this. They had watched Jesus do it up close. This time what they could see was louder than what they had been told, and the doubt cancelled out the faith they genuinely had.

Jesus was not frustrated because they were weak. He was frustrated because they already carried the authority and did not lean on it. Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." That power came the day you were born again. It is not a bonus for a good month.

So the work is not manufacturing more faith. It is starving the doubt. When the report comes back bad or the money does not add up, feed on what God said about it instead of replaying the scene in your head at midnight. The Holy Spirit living in you is the one who makes God's Word real to you, and He does that as you keep it in front of your eyes.
