Seated Above The Storm You Are In

Some seasons feel like the whole thing is stacked against you. Esther knew that feeling, and hers was not an exaggeration.

Haman had a decree written to wipe out her entire people. There was no obvious way out and no human plan that could fix it. Esther and Mordecai went to God instead of to panic.

Esther 9:22 records how it ended: "As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor." Sorrow to joy. Mourning to a feast that is still kept today.

Here is what carries over to you. Ephesians 2:6 says God "hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Already done. You are seated above the thing that is currently shouting at you.

That does not mean you will feel calm on command. It means your position is not decided by the storm, and the Holy Spirit inside you has access to a peace your circumstances do not get to vote on.

So stay rooted. You are not waiting to be rescued into safety, you are already in Christ, and God has a long record of turning the worst chapters into the ones people celebrate later.
