Lazarus Knew Before Anyone Else Could See

Picture the moment Lazarus came out. John 11:44 says, "And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."

Now think about what the crowd could actually see. A figure wrapped in burial cloth, face covered, still smelling of a tomb. Every visible thing about him still said dead.

Lazarus was in a different position. He was not looking at himself from outside. He knew what had happened to him, and the graveclothes were not evidence to him, they were just cloth.

There is usually a gap between what God has said about you and what anybody can see. In that gap people will have opinions, and some of them will be people who love you.

This is not about pretending nothing is wrong or refusing help. Lazarus still needed hands to get the wrappings off him. It is about who gets the final word on you. Keep going to God honestly about what is real, and let the Holy Spirit keep you standing on what He said rather than on the room's reaction.

Jesus told them to loose him and let him go. He was alive before a single person in that crowd believed it.
