You Cannot Help Everyone, So Help Someone
But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

You cannot fix everything you see. Some days the need in front of you is bigger than anything you have. Jesus never asked you to carry all of it.
He told a story about a man beaten and left on a road. A priest walked past him. A Levite walked past him. Then the person nobody expected stopped.
Luke 10:33 says, "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him." Samaritans and Jews had a long history of contempt for one another. The man with the least social reason to stop was the one who did.
So a neighbour is not defined by who shares your background or your beliefs. It is whoever crosses your path needing something you happen to have.
Do not let that turn into guilt. You will never meet every need in the world, and Jesus never expected that from you. Proverbs 3:27 keeps it realistic: "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." When it is in the power of thine hand. That is the whole scope.
And the compassion is not something you have to work up. God already poured His love into you, so ask the Holy Spirit to point out the one person today instead of drowning in everyone.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that Your love is already in me and I am not producing it from scratch. I am Your child, so kindness is my nature and not my performance. Holy Spirit, show me the one person You put in my path today. Give me eyes for what they actually need. I release what You put in me. Amen
