Blessing Comes With Work Gloves

Nobody warns you about this part. When God increases something, He also increases what there is to manage. Blessing is not a package that lands on the sofa while you sleep.

Picture two farmers, one with a thirty fold harvest and one with a hundred fold. The second one is not relaxing. A bigger harvest means longer days in the field, and that is not a punishment, that is what abundance looks like from the inside.

Psalm 1:3 describes the person planted in God's Word: "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Notice the tree is not straining. It is planted by water, and the fruit is the natural result of where it lives.

So this is not you hustling for God's favour. Favour, creative ideas and open doors are already commanded over what you set your hand to. The effort comes after the blessing, never before it, the same way a farmer only harvests what God already grew.

And if your season looks thin right now, that is not a scoreboard on your obedience. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." His intentions toward you have not shifted with your circumstances.

Ask the Holy Spirit what He is already growing in your life, then go tend it. Stewarding a blessing is not earning it. It is refusing to let what God gave you sit in a box.
