Jesus Already Broke The Curse Off You
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
— John 8:36
Some mornings the heaviness is already there before you open your eyes. Sickness that will not shift, or a sadness you cannot trace back to anything specific. That weight is real, and it has an origin.
It started in a garden, and it did not start with you. Adam and Eve made a choice and sin walked in, and sickness and fear and death came in behind it. So when your body breaks down or your mind will not settle, that is not God assigning you a lesson. It is the leftover of something that happened long before you were born.
Here is where it flips. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Jesus took what was ours on that cross. He became sin, He became cursed, He became poor, so that everything that is His could become yours.
God is not neutral about the curse. He hates seeing you sick and crushed. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." That is what He already put in you by His Spirit. Anything pulling the opposite direction is not coming from Him.
So today is not about mustering enough positivity to beat the heaviness. You are not fighting for freedom, you are standing in freedom that was already bought. When the report from the doctor loops in your head at 2am, say what 2 Corinthians says about you instead of replaying the fear. When the bank balance tightens and panic starts climbing, thank the Holy Spirit that peace is fruit He is already growing in you, not a mood you have to produce.
John 8:36 says, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." Free is not something you are working toward. It is what Jesus already did to you.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that Jesus became the curse so I would never have to carry it. I am righteous and free right now because of what He finished, not because of how today went. Holy Spirit, You are the one growing peace and joy in me, so I am not manufacturing it. Make me quick to notice today when I am agreeing with the heaviness instead of with You. I receive the blessing by faith. Amen
Amen
