The Fastest Way Out Of Your Own Head

When you are under pressure, your problems get very loud and very close. Everything narrows down to your own situation. That is normal, and it is also the exact moment God offers you a way out that feels completely backwards.

Acts 20:35 records it: "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Jesus was not shaming anyone who needs help. He was telling you where the joy actually sits.

Isaiah 58:10 says, "If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday." Something loosens in your own darkness the moment you turn toward someone else's.

Straight up, this is not a vending machine. Your struggle is not a receipt for giving too little, and being broke or unwell is never proof of weak faith. God already handed you everything in Christ before you ever put a rupee anywhere.

2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." Verse 8 keeps going: "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." The grace is coming from Him, not from your effort. Ask the Holy Spirit who to bless and He will point you at someone closer than you expected.

You are not giving to get God's attention. You already have it. You give because there is more of Him in you than your current situation is letting out.
