He Already Gave You The Hardest Thing

The worry about tomorrow rarely arrives as one big thing. It is the small pile of what ifs that stacks up while you are trying to sleep.

Start with how He looks at people. Matthew 9:36 says, "But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd." Compassion, not irritation. That was His reaction to tired people who could not sort themselves out.

And Hebrews 13:8 says He is "the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." That reaction has not been revised since.

Then Paul makes an argument that is hard to get around. Romans 8:32 says, "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" He already handed over the most expensive thing He had. The rest is not where He starts hesitating.

Which is why Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Added, not extracted from a reluctant God. You are not trying to talk Him into providing. Let the Holy Spirit turn your attention toward Him and watch the size of tomorrow change while you do.

He gave you His Son before you knew to ask. Whatever tomorrow needs, that question was settled a long time ago.
