Your Story Is Not Finished Yet
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
— Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
Some seasons make you feel like a side character in your own life. Somebody let you down, or something went wrong that you cannot undo, and the whole thing feels stalled.
A story has a beginning and a middle and an end. You are reading yours from somewhere in the middle, and what feels like the ending is usually just the chapter you are stuck on.
God is not neutral about how it goes. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." His thoughts toward you were settled before you ever got here.
If people have hurt you, the hesitation you feel now makes complete sense. Nobody should be telling you to just get over it. And the hard thing you went through was not God arranging pain to teach you something. He is the One who wants to heal it.
Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Count how many times He says I will. The strength is His responsibility. The Holy Spirit is already in you holding you up on the days you have nothing left.
Breakthrough usually starts with one small move you have been putting off. Not a heroic leap. Just the next step, with Someone who is already holding your hand.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that Your thoughts toward me were good long before this season started. I am held by You, not by my own strength. Holy Spirit, give me courage for the one step I have been avoiding. I take it trusting that You are already there. Amen
