Grace Is Power, Not Just Forgiveness

Somebody along the way taught you that struggle is the Christian default setting. That God's plan for your life is just enough to survive on, and wanting more is greed. That is religion talking, and the Bible does not back it.

Paul expected to arrive carrying something. Romans 15:29 says, "And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ." Fulness. Not scraps.

Part of the confusion is what we think grace means. Grace is the kindness that saved you, and it is also God's power working in you after that. 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." All sufficiency in all things. That is His job description, not yours.

Romans 5:17 pushes it further: "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Reign in life, not barely hold on. And notice the verb, receive. You do not hustle for grace, you take what is being handed to you.

Reigning in life does not mean you will never be sick and never lose anything. If you are in a hard season right now, that is not evidence that your grace ran out or your faith came up short. The Holy Spirit inside you is the one who makes this real, and He does not leave when things get heavy.

1 Timothy 1:14 says, "And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." Grace does not show up alone, it arrives carrying faith and love with it. You already have what you need to live free. Shake off the mindset that expects less from God than He actually promised.
