Faith Lets You See It Before It Comes
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
— Heb. 11:1
Ask yourself what you actually picture when you think about your next few years. For a lot of people the honest answer is a blur, or something going wrong.
Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Substance. Faith is not wishful thinking with better vocabulary. It is treating what God said as solid before it shows up.
David admitted how close he came to going under. Psalm 27:13 says, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." In the land of the living, meaning here, not only in heaven afterwards. That expectation is what kept him upright.
Moses did the same thing. Hebrews 11:27 says, "By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible." He kept going because of what he could see that nobody else could.
So this is not about visualising success and hoping the universe cooperates. It is about what you expect from a God who has already been good to you. Let the Holy Spirit show you what He has in mind, and stop rehearsing the worst version in your head as if that were realism.
What you keep looking at is shaping what you walk toward. So look at the right thing.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that You have good things planned for me that I have not seen yet. I am not walking into nothing, I am walking into what You prepared. Holy Spirit, lift my eyes off this week and let me see what He sees. Give me one clear picture of Your goodness today. I believe I will see it. Amen
Amen
