You Already Are God's Righteousness In Christ

Here is the thing about righteousness. Most people treat it like a score they are slowly building up, where every bad day knocks it back down. That is not what happened at the cross.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." That is a straight swap. Your sin went to Him and His righteousness came to you. It already happened, and you received it the moment you believed.

1 Corinthians 1:30 says Christ Jesus "is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption." He became it for you. You do not manufacture righteousness on a good week and lose it on a bad one, you receive it as a gift and stand in it.

Romans 3:22 calls it "the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe." Not to the ones who try hardest. Not to the ones with the cleanest record. To all who believe, which includes you right now, exactly as you are.

So Romans 8:1 lands differently. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." You do not walk into prayer today carrying your own performance, you walk in carrying His. The Holy Spirit living in you is the one who keeps reminding you of that when your feelings want to argue.

Serve God today from what you already have, not toward what you are hoping to finally get. That is a completely different engine, and it does not burn you out.
