You Were Chosen Before The World Existed

A lot of believers carry a quiet fear that God accepted them on a technicality and could still change His mind. Ephesians shuts that down before the world even started spinning.

Ephesians 1:4 says, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." Before the foundation of the world. Nothing you have done since could have been the reason, because there was no since yet.

Look closely at two words in there. Chosen in Him. Christ is the chosen One, and everyone who is in Christ is included in that, so you were not picked for performing well. You were picked because you are in Jesus.

That is also why it holds. Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Paul lists everything he can think of and none of it makes the cut.

People see your worst days. God looks at your born again spirit and calls you holy and without blame, and He is not being polite about it. When you fail, the Holy Spirit does not back away. He is the One who reminds you who you already are so you can walk like it.

You are not auditioning. That decision was made before there was a world to make it in, and it is not up for review today.
