Moses Was One Hundred Twenty And Sharp

I am just getting old. People say it about their knees, their memory, their energy, and mostly nobody questions it.

Deuteronomy 34:7 says, "And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated." A hundred and twenty. Eyes still working, strength still there. That detail did not have to be recorded, and it was.

Bodies age. That is not in dispute and pretending otherwise helps nobody. The question is whether decline is the only story available to you, because the world hands you that script early and expects you to read it.

John 17:16 says, "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." You live here, you go to the doctor, you take what you are given. You are just not obliged to agree with every expectation the world hands you about what is inevitable.

Here is the thing, this matters most for what you expect of the years ahead. Whether you quietly assume your useful time is running out, or whether you keep asking God what is next. The Holy Spirit who raised Jesus lives in you, and He has never once treated a person as finished.

Moses got his biggest assignment at eighty. Whatever number you are carrying around as too late, he was well past it.
