Jesus Is Still Asking What You Want

Blind Bartimaeus shouted until Jesus stopped walking. Then Jesus asked him a question that looks obvious and was not obvious at all.

Mark 10:51 says, "And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight." Jesus made him say it out loud. He wanted a real answer, not a vague religious wish.

That question is still on the table for you. John 15:7 says, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." Abiding comes first. The asking flows out of a relationship that is already yours.

For a lot of people, guilt quietly deleted their expectation. You started assuming God hears everyone else. Here is the thing, He is not rationing His attention, and He is not irritated that you came back.

Ephesians 3:20 says He "is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Notice where the power sits. It works in you, and the Holy Spirit is the One operating it, so a big ask is not you overreaching.

If the answer has not shown up yet, that is not a scorecard on your faith and it is not God turning away from you. Keep asking with your eyes open. He is a Father, and He was never looking for a reason to say no.
