The Harvest Is Slower Than You Think

You did something kind and nothing came back. No thanks, no result, nothing. It is easy to decide it did not count.

It counted. Mark 4:29 says, "But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come." Grain ripens on its own schedule and no farmer speeds it up by staring at the field. The gap between planting and harvest is normal, not a sign that it failed.

And a harvest is not only money. A word that lifted somebody on a bad day is a seed. So is the forgiveness that quietly repaired something nobody else saw.

Straight up, this is not a bargain you strike with God. You are not buying His blessing, He already handed you everything in Christ before you sowed a thing. And if life is tight right now, that is not proof you gave too little. Some seasons are just hard.

Luke 6:38 says, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." That is God describing His own generosity, not quoting you a price. Ask the Holy Spirit what to sow this week and He will show you something small and specific.

Keep sowing on the days it feels pointless. The field is not empty just because you cannot see anything above the soil yet.
