Talk To The Problem Not Just About It

Most of us only ever talk about our problems. To friends, to family, to ourselves at two in the morning. It rarely occurs to us to talk to them.

Jesus did the strangest thing to a fig tree. It had leaves promising fruit and no fruit on it, so He spoke to it. Not about it, to it. By the next morning it was dead.

Then He turned it into instruction. Mark 11:23 says, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Say unto the mountain. That is the part we skip.

Why would words carry anything at all? Hebrews 11:3 says "the worlds were framed by the word of God." That is the pattern the whole universe was built on. And when Jesus was cornered in the wilderness He answered with Luke 4:4, "It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." He talked back with Scripture.

This is not you generating power by being positive. The power is the Holy Spirit already in you, and the word is what He works with. So when the situation starts telling you that you are finished, you get to answer it with what God said instead of agreeing with it. Matthew 21:22 says, "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

Your problem has been doing all the talking. It is allowed to be interrupted.
