Your Heart Is Building Your Tomorrow

You think about the future more than you let on. The job, the family, your health, whether things will hold together. There is something you can actually do about it, and it is not worrying harder.

Jesus put it plainly in Luke 6:45: "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." Your heart is a storage room. Whatever is stacked in there eventually comes out of your mouth and into your life.

Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." Not some of the issues of life. The issues. That is why God keeps pointing at your heart instead of your circumstances.

Jesus was honest about what can sit in there. Matthew 15:19 says, "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies." Old hurts and failures do not just fade out. They get stored, and stored things grow.

Here is the thing, you are not starting from zero. God already put His nature and His Spirit in you when you were born again, so this is not you manufacturing a better heart from scratch. You plant His Word in the space, and the Holy Spirit grows it. What you feed on matters far more than how hard you strain.

Your future is sitting in your heart right now as thoughts you have not spoken and actions you have not taken. It can stay a warehouse for what hurt you, or it can become a factory for what God said. Feed the second one today.
