Someone Is Reading Your Life Today

You are influencing people you have never had a proper conversation with. The junior at work who watched how you spoke to the guy serving your tea has already formed an opinion about what you believe.

Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Notice where it lands. Not on you looking impressive, on people tracing it back to God.

Words are the loudest part of it. Colossians 4:6 says, "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." Seasoned means somebody thought about it. Grace in your mouth is not the same as being nice, it is refusing to use your words to win.

And you are not generating any of this yourself. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." That love is already in you because He is already in you. You are not manufacturing light, you are letting out what He put there.

Which is why your reaction under pressure preaches louder than anything you say on purpose. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." When the result does not come and the plan falls apart in front of everybody, calm is a sermon. Philippians 4:9 says, "Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you." Today that might be as small as not firing back in the group chat, and letting the Holy Spirit hold your tongue instead of your willpower.

You might be the only picture of God someone gets this week. Do not stress about being impressive. Let what He already put in you come out.
