That Restless Feeling Is Actually A Gift
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
— Matthew 5:6
You hit the goal, get the thing, and about a week later the buzz is gone and you want something else. That loop is not a character flaw. It is information.
Matthew 5:6 says, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Jesus called the hunger itself blessed. Not the full feeling afterwards, the hunger.
And that hunger did not start with you. John 6:44 says, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." If you are craving Him, that craving is proof He is already pulling. You are responding, not initiating.
Which means being spiritually hungry is not a sign you are behind. In Christ you are already righteous and already accepted, with nothing missing. The hunger is not a gap in your standing, it is your spirit reaching for more of Someone you already have.
So do not treat it as guilt to be fixed. Take it to Him instead. The Holy Spirit is the One who satisfies this, and He does it as you spend time in what God actually said rather than in whatever the algorithm hands you next.
Jesus said they shall be filled. Not might be, if the effort looks impressive enough. Shall be. So keep the appetite, it is taking you somewhere good.
PRAYER
Father, thank You that in Christ I am already righteous and fully accepted. The hunger I feel is You drawing me, not me falling short. Holy Spirit, satisfy this today with more of Jesus and less of the noise. I receive Your fullness by faith. Amen
