Salvation Was Never Only About Later

A lot of believers file salvation under later. Forgiven now, everything else after you die. That is not how Jesus taught us to pray.

Matthew 6:10 says, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." On earth. As it already is there. He put that line in the model prayer on purpose.

In heaven there is no sorrow and no pain, so praying that means asking for some of heaven's reality to show up in your ordinary Tuesday. Jesus did not go through the cross to leave you sitting in a waiting room.

Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." Both in the same breath. The salvation Jesus bought covers spirit, mind and body, not just the paperwork for eternity.

And this needs saying plainly. If you are sick or short of money right now, that is not evidence that your faith failed, and God is not putting you through it to teach you something. His heart toward you is good, and receiving from Him is not an exam you can flunk.

So start receiving today instead of only hoping. The Holy Spirit makes what Jesus already purchased real in your actual life, and there is more than enough of it to point other people toward as well.
