Pray Like A Kid In The Kitchen

Look at how Jesus taught us to ask. Matthew 6:11 is not a nervous request: "Give us this day our daily bread." That is a kid walking into the kitchen and saying they are hungry, because they already know how their parents feel about them.

You do not beg from someone who loves you. You ask, because the relationship is settled and the kitchen is already stocked.

Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Boldly. That word was chosen on purpose, and it was chosen for people who know they did not earn the right to be there.

Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." The measure is His riches, not your recent performance. Nobody is calculating your supply based on how your week went.

So today you are not asking God to start caring. You are receiving what He has already released. Let the Holy Spirit take the hesitation out of your prayer, because hesitation is usually just an old idea about God that never got updated.

And if the need is still standing at the end of today, you have not failed a test. Being in need is not a verdict on your faith. Keep coming boldly, because the Father you are coming to has not changed His mind about you.
