Ezekiel Had To Speak Before Anything Moved

God did not raise the bones Himself while Ezekiel watched. He gave him something to say and waited.

Ezekiel 37:4 says, "Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord." Say it to the bones. Out loud, to a valley of dead things, with nobody around to be impressed.

That must have felt ridiculous. And that is often what obedience feels like before anything moves. There was no rattling until after he opened his mouth.

Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Notice what Ezekiel was told to say. Hear the word of the Lord. He was not making things up. He was repeating what God had already said.

So this is not positive thinking with a Bible on top. The power is in what God said, not in your tone of voice. Straight up, most of us have been prophesying over our situations for years already, just in the wrong direction. Ask the Holy Spirit what God has said about it, and then say that instead.

The bones were never going to move on their own. They were waiting on a man willing to say something to them.
