God Shows Up When You Have Nothing Left

Most of us start the day already running on empty. Last night's argument is still sitting there. The bad news landed before you even got out of bed, and by ten in the morning you are done.

Isaiah 40:29 says, "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." Read who that verse is aimed at. Not the strong. The ones with nothing in the tank.

Then Isaiah 40:31 goes further: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Notice it does not say they that try harder. It says they that wait upon the Lord. The source is Him.

Being exhausted is not a sign your faith is thin. God wrote that promise for people who had already run out, which means you qualify on your worst morning.

Real talk, the Greater One lives inside you. So before you open that email you have been leaving unread, before you walk into the meeting you are dreading, take thirty seconds and tell God out loud that you are drawing on His strength and not yours. That small act of dependence is faith, and that is exactly how His power moves. You are not asking the Holy Spirit to come from somewhere. He is already in you.

You do not hustle for His strength. You draw it, the way you would draw water from a well you never dug.
