One Sacrifice Made You Perfect Forever

There is a difference between knowing you are forgiven and actually living like it. You can say the words and still flinch a little every time you come to God after a bad day.

If some of it is still on your account, then your closeness to God rises and falls with your week. Good week, He is near. Bad week, you keep your distance. That is exhausting, and it is not what the Bible says happened.

Psalm 103:12 says, "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." East and west never meet. There is no point on the map where they close the gap. That is the distance He chose to describe it with.

And Hebrews 10:14 says, "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." One offering. Perfected forever. Not topped up weekly depending on how you behaved.

Here is the thing, God is not grading your ups and downs. He is looking at what Jesus did. So when you snap at your mother or waste the whole evening again, you do not have to earn your way back into the room before you talk to Him. The Holy Spirit is already in you, and He is not waiting on your streak to improve.

Jesus did the whole thing. Believing that is not a small side detail of your faith, it is most of what changes how you live.
